Large collection of British coal mining memorabilia from England, Scotland and Wales including lamp tags, pay tags, bus checks, coal truck tags, a horse brass tag etc. Some pieces are pre NUM others post, made in brass, lead, tinplate, zinc etc. together with a ledger detailing each (most?) items put together by the miner who made this collection over a period of more than three decades. Also included a book "Guide to the Coalfields 1966" 374 pages plus 50 plus pages of advertisements; hardback, 265 pieces. Tag sizes up to about 1.5", the Horse brass tag 2.75" x 2.5"
