Superb telescope micrometer signed Grubb, Dublin. Illumination supplied by tiny carbon filament bulbs set in plaster of Paris. Four prisms mounted round the objective lens as shown. Large tube 3" diameter. Overall length 15.25" (387 mm) Overall width 9" (128 mm)Condition near pristine. Thomas and Howard Grubb were the only Irish scientific instrument makers of international standing ansd their work was of he highest quality.
