Mounted leopard skin by Van Ingen & Van Ingen of Mysore India. This is probably as perfect an example as it is possible to find. All the teeth and claws are intact and present and from the condition of the skin it must have been kept on the wall of the British officers' mess - from where it was bought - in all its existance. It has obviously never been worn in a military band as there is absolutely no wear or rubbing and no discolouration from being exposed to prolonged sunlight. length 71" (180 cm) width 45" (83 cm) Van Ingen & Van Ingen of Mysore were reckoned to be the world's finest preparers of animal skins. Note to possible US buyers: it will take about three weeks to obtain the necessary UK government permits if this skin is to be sent outside of Europe. Numbered skin circa 1925. Price includes transport to anywhere but does not include any import duties if applicable.
