Leather fire bucket

Description:

Leather fire bucket with copper banding at the top. These buckets usually held sand and were used in houses, offices, factories and on board ships for at least three centuries.Oddly enough this is the first one I've owned with the leather strap still intact! This example is in excellent condition and probably dates from the late Victorian period.
