Description:

This is one of the finest of all 'flea' microscopes. I have only ever seen one other example.I hope the photographs are self-explanatory.The top has a bone eyepiece. The live box also has a 'seed' eyepiece. I am not certain that the large lens isoriginal but it works perfectly. Everything else (and perhaps the aforementioned lens) is correct. Late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. Height 3" (49 mm) diameter 1.1" (28 mm)
