This is a perfect near mint unmodified, undamaged, broken or repaired with no screw or nob broken or replaced. All original polish and brass lacquer present. Coherer wireless receivers are exceptionally rare. Most that turn up are 'school demonstration kits' made by the toy manufacturers of the period e,g Bing and Georges Carette and made from tin plate. This example is in a different league and dates from around 1900. I have every reason to believe (without actually testing it) that this piece is in full working order. Try finding another example!
