Fine clockmaker's topping tool with a full set of collects and assorted cutters in original fitted leather covered case. The topping tool was/is used for shaping the teeth of gear wheels. This example is probably of Swiss origin and made in the second half of the nineteenth century. It is best described as being in near pristine condition and in perfect working order in all respects. They normally turn up 'alone' having the boxed accessories is a rarity. Length about 12"
