Helio-Chronometer by Pilkington & Gibbs Ltd., Preston, England (signed). A form of sundial which shows the true clock time by simple direct observation, without reference to equation tables. Pilkington & Gibbs were said to have made the most accurate examples of this instrument ever designed (ref:Sotheby's) early twentieth century. Condition: Made of bronze with a good patina apparently in perfect condition. Size: 9" (23 cm )diameter height about 12" (30 cm) depending upon inclination.
