Description:

Gilt folding cutlery set of knife, fork and spoon with hunting scenes on the handles contained in tooled leather case. The touch mark on the knife blade, a star with rounded points and diagonal stripes is German circa 1680. The condition of the gilding on these pieces is in exceptional condition - 'museum quality'- with all three pieces of cutlery in near perfect condition except for a tiny repair to the stem of the spoon on the end of the handle to the rear. The leather case is separating slightly at one end but is otherwise in excellent condition. Knife and Fork 7.9" (200 mm) Spoon 7.5" (190 mm) case 5" (128 mm)
