Hot air engine fan for sale! I have waited for years to write that sentence! I love hot air engines, but most are either toys (that's fine but when all is said and done they are just toys), or they are very large heavy lumps of agricultural machinery. Hot air fans are the one exception I know, weighting just a few pounds, they look great and work in a very obvious fashion. The aluminium blades are numbered 1 - 4 but there is not manufacturer's name that I can find on it. Base cast iron. I fired it up using a gas blow torch (takes about thirty seconds to 'fire up' but a spirit lamp would work equally well (after all that was the powers source originally I presume. Sadly it did not come with one). There is a slight eccentricity in the shaft but as it works well i decided not to try and correct it. Otherwise it is wonderful. Transport free in the UK at cost overseas. Height base to top blade 28.25" (72 cm) blade diameter 20" (52 cm)
