Description:

A fine and beautifully made micrometer eyepiece for a 3.5" refractor telecsope. Unnamed but thought to be by Grubb of Dublin late 19/early 20 century in virtually mint condition. This instrument is contained in its original fitted box. There are some spare holes possibly for extra filters, but the instrument appears to be complete so it is possible that these were never supplied. the holes are so clean that it looks as if nothing has ever been in them from the day this instrument was made. Very high precision and unusual piece with all original lacquor. length of instrument 12" (30cm) box 19" x 8" x 5.5"
