Leo3 Power Pack - historic computer part
LEO3 power pack with nameplate 21" x 7" x 5" S.J.Lyons the British catering company in conjunction with Cambridge University manufactured the first business computer. It ran its first routine office job in November 1951. The prototype proved so successful that Lyons decided to manufacture further units and offer them for sale. These computers were called LEO2 and were the first business computers to be marketed. Thirteen units were made and sold then a new generation were produced, LEO3. The first LEO3 trials were in May 1961. LEO stood for "Lyons Electronic Office" Surviving parts of Leo computers are rare, so this is a chance to purchase a piece of early computing history.
