Flea Microscope
A rare Flea Microscope of a design I've never seen before unsigned but in excellent condition. This is a simple microscope of high magnification. The 'flea' is placed on the spike for observation note the convex mirror to the rear. It is also apparently designed to be used with sunlight for which use the end is fitted with a facited blue glass (the white lines in the photo are produced by the sun's reflection it is NOT damaged)for use as a dark filter. I have never seen this before. Age? Probably about 1800. It comes with half it original box! Works very well if you wish to examine your fleas - or any other small object.
