Twelve Skeleton or Pass Keys
Set of twelve nineteenth century pass keys with the name "Paris" cast on one side at the bottom of the ring and the initials "C B" on the reverse side. The keys are exceptionally thin to avoid retrictions imposed by the width of a lock and with long shanks to allow for doors of different thickness. With this collection most Parisian flats could be entered in the nineteenth century! Not common. Each key 6.25" (157 mm) long
