Duboscq Goniometer
Wollaston-type Goniometer signed Jules Duboscq, Ph Pellin, Paris. This dates this instrument to between 1883-1886 when Duboscq merged with Pellin. In The Mineralogical Record November/December 1998 in the 'rarity index' of known goniometers by masnufacturer Duboscq falls into the category of 4-10 instruments known. Made in brass with a silvered scale the condition is best described as museum quality. Numbered AE 488 twice on the base. Base diameter 6" (15.5 cm) height 9.7" (25 cm)
