Coherer Wireless Receiver by A. Klienik

Early coherer wireless receiver by A Klienik probably circa 1900 for laboratory use as evidenced by the pen markings on the base. Laboratory receivers were better made and earlier than the toy or school coherers and spark transmitters made by such firms as Bing, Georges Carette and others from about 1906 (see the toy spark transmitter by Osterreichische Lehrmittel-Anstatt on this site for example). Apparently untouched but I cannot give a 100% guarantee that the aerials are original. They look right but these are the first things to be lost and are easily replaced being simple brass rods narrowed at one end. Size 12" (30.5 cm) x 4.9" (12.5 cm) height 7" (17 cm) width with aerials 36.5" (93 cm)
