Toy Sewing Machine by Heinrich Poerschmann?
Very elaborate and beautiful toy sewing machine probably by Heinrich Poerschmann of Leipzig, Germany. This heavy duty machine is highly finished in nickle with hints of gold in the mouldings. It bears a similarity to the Stella produced by this company in 1894 and illustrated on the front cover of the book "Toy and miniature sewing machines" by Glenda Thomas, book II, but is even more "up-market". It comes complete with its original box and a small screwdriver. I believe this machine also dates from the 1890s. More information would be welcome from collectors.
